Born in Sept. of 2008, Tia’s is a simple but unique sandal design which lets you swap out the sandal tops and tie them up in different ways to create your own personalized style. Our own tops are made of lovely, colorful recycled vintage silk saris, but you can also buy tops from 3rd party top designers or even make your own!
Freestyle Versatile yet simple. No high tech bells or whistles. A leather sandal base and a pair of sandal tops. You can buy the tops from us, make your own (easy if you can sew), or have someone creative make you a special pair. Sandal tops are colorful, usually inexpensive, and a fun (and frugal) way to change your look without having to buy a whole new pair (who doesn't want to save money these days?)

You can mix colors, add accessories, or come up with your own special ways to tie. Send us a pic of your creation- we'd love to post it and share with others!
Our own signature sandal tops made from recycled vintage silk saris. Soft and luxurious, our signature recycled vintage silk tops are crafted from old Indian Saris. If you don't know what a sari is, it's a long (usually 15 feet or more) garment worn by women in India. They are colorful, intricately patterned, and sometimes have lovely gold "zari" work hand woven into the borders. These saris are typically discarded when they get too old or damaged. Rather than see them go to waste, we recycle them into luxurious, soft, limited edition sandal tops. Each sari yields only 2 to 12 pairs of straps, depending on its condition. So you can pretty much be assured that nobody else you know will have the same tops. Not exactly one of a kind, but close to it!Save a Sari!
Create and sell your own tops If you are creative we'd love to collaborate with you! We're looking for people who like to sew and can create new and unique sandal tops. Tops made from recycled materials, unique prints, cool colors, fresh materials or material mixtures, stones, beadwork, you name it. We'll post your designs on our site for sale under your name.
